What’s new at Hunter? (November 2024)
Finding leads for your campaigns is hard. Managing and segmenting them can be even harder.
Lead management can be truly painful if you need to use multiple tools in your outreach process, transferring data between them, struggling with conflicting data points and missing capabilities. I know this from personal experience.
But with our new features and updates to Hunter, lead management is easier than ever.
In the past months, our goal at Hunter has been to simplify finding target companies, segmenting them, and reaching out in a seamless email outreach process.
The most recent updates to our platform closely reflect that goal.
Discover improvements
Discover is Hunter's B2B database, helping you find relevant B2B leads at scale. We recently improved it by adding more filters and configuration options.
Year founded filter
This new filter helps you find companies based on when they were founded. To configure it, you can choose a year range or specific years.
The founding date may be relevant, e.g., when you want to target new companies that may need your help to kickstart their activity in specific areas.
The "Year founded" filter can also help you target well-established companies that have been in the market for a longer time.
If you’re offering enterprise-level solutions such as advanced CRM systems, corporate training programs, or industry-specific consulting services, you can look for companies founded 10 or more years ago.
These organizations are more likely to have mature processes, making them ideal candidates for your high-value offerings.
Funding filter
We also added a filter to find companies that participated in external funding events. This one lets you filter for specific funding rounds and amounts and select a date range.
For example, if you provide services like marketing consulting, you might want to target companies that recently completed Series A or Series B. These businesses are often scaling rapidly and exploring ways to achieve intense growth.
By filtering for funding rounds e.g., within the past 6–12 months, you can focus on organizations that are actively allocating their new capital and may be in immediate need of your expertise to support their growth initiatives.
ALL/ANY configurations
We extended the Keywords and Technologies filter to let you choose to match ALL or ANY of your selections.
For instance, if your two keywords are "sales" and "agency":
- Matching ALL keywords will find sales agencies.
- Matching ANY keywords will find sales agencies, agencies that aren't necessarily sales agencies, and sales-related companies that aren't agencies.
This change simply makes using a very specific combination of keywords easier.

Company Lists
Managing your leads is one of the core activities for cold outreach. Lead data is often messy and comes from different – sometimes conflicting – data sources.
That's why you need a place for your leads that's flexible and makes it easy to segment them.
We just expanded our Leads product to enable you to save Companies in Company Lists. This makes planning and executing your outbound campaigns easier before you identify specific people to contact.
We also built in the option to tag companies.
Tags let you apply your own judgment to segmenting, or any additional pieces of information you have on the specific companies you have saved, and target them with a focused campaigns.
Revamped People Lists
With the introduction of Company Lists, we also rebuilt People Lists. It's now easier to add, reorder, and remove columns, as well as sort or filter your lists by interacting with the columns.
Just like with Company Lists, this makes it easier to find common traits among your leads, save them to smaller lists, and target them with well-targeted campaigns.
Make sure you see these new Leads features for yourself.
What's next
In the coming months, we'll deliver more segmentation features and improvements in Leads. Our goal remains to make it as frictionless as possible to start your outbound process in Discover and move to watching your reply rate grow in Campaigns.
We're also building new onboarding processes for new users. Cold outreach is a complex process, and there's a lot you need to know before you can start. That's why we're working on in-app and email guidance – our goal here isn't just to show you around our platform but to effectively make your cold campaigns more successful.
Make sure you try the Company Lists by saving a company you find in Discover or the Domain Search and then going to Leads!
