  • Is there a limit for the emails that can be extracted in the Domain Search?
    Yes, we have a limit of maximum 5000 emails per domain in the Domain Search.
  • Do I need to provide the domain name only?
    You can either provide the URL or Domain you want to find emails for, or you can just type the first letters of the company name and Hunter's auto-complete will help you finding the associated domain.
  • Can I search for personal webmail addresses?
    Since Hunter is built for professional contacts we choose not to return webmail addresses in our tools.
  • Can I find the email pattern for a specific domain?
    Yes, if there are at least a few personal email addresses found for a domain name, the search also returns the most likely email pattern. For example, {first}.{last}.
  • Can I filter and search for specific people in a domain search?
    In the dashboard, if a likely email pattern is found for a domain, a link “Find Someone” also appears. Then you can type a first name and last name to find a precise email address.
  • What does the Domain Search do?
    The Domain Search lets you find all the email addresses using one given domain name (for example, "") and appearing publicly somewhere on the web.
  • What does the colour next to each email address indicate?
    The colours next to each email address indicate our estimation of the probability the email address is actually correct. You can hover over them to see the exact probability showed as a percentage.
  • What is a domain name?
    You can think of domain names like an address, they identify one or more IP addresses. Here are a few examples:,,
  • Why are there no results for email addresses for certain domain names?

    There can be several reasons as to why no email addresses were returned in a search:

    • We have not crawled web pages where those email addresses appear yet.
    • The company using this domain has a limited presence online.
    • The company uses another domain name for their emails.
    • The websites where these email addresses appear don't allow crawlers.
  • How does Hunter get the email addresses returned Domain Searches?
    Hunter visits the whole web to collect email addresses. When you search a website on Hunter, it returns all the email addresses using the same domain (i.e. finishing with we found on the web. The URLs where the email addresses were found and the date they were found are also returned in the search.
  • What information can I find with the Domain Search?
    With the Domain Search you'll be able to find the publicly email addresses associated with a domain and some other additional information associated with the email address, when available:

    1. Full name
    2. Phone number
    3. Job title
    4. Twitter profile
    5. LinkedIn profile
  • Can I filter for only getting emails in specific departments within a company?
    Yes, job titles will automatically appear when launching a Domain Search that provides emails and job titles associated with them. Simply click on a job category to filter the emails associated with it only.
