How is the confidence score, returned on LinkedIn profiles, calculated?
When our Chrome extension guesses an email on LinkedIn, it also displays a confidence score to help you know if you can rely on it. This score depends on the probability that our email pattern is correct and the complexity of the name you supplied.

Why do I get a notice about limiting my searches on LinkedIn?
If many profiles are visited on LinkedIn in a short span of time, LinkedIn can block the access to certain pages or can even ban the account. That’s why the extension displays a warning when it estimates the account is closed to have a restricted access.
Please note that to save email addresses from search pages on LinkedIn, the extension also visits the profiles in the background to save the information associated with the lead.
-
Will people know if I’ve looked for their emails when I do a search on LinkedIn?
No, however, they will see that you visited their profile. This is due to the way we extract and retrieve the email address from the profile you requested an email address for to get the email.
-
Is there a way to install the extension without using the Chrome Web Store?
Installing the extension manually may be necessary if your country blocks Google or if you would like to test an unpublished version of the extension. To do so, please follow this
short tutorial.
-

What are the required columns for the Email Finder?
In the Google Sheets Add-on, these are the columns you need to have to make the Email Finder work:
- The first name
- The last name
- The company name or the domain name of the company
Please note, the integration will return better results if you provide the domain names instead of the company names in your file.
-
With LinkedIn, if “save even if email is not found” is checked, does that person count towards my request usage?
No, requests are only used to find emails. Saving a lead doesn’t count a request.
-
How do email searches on websites work using the extension?

-
Is the Chrome extension free to use?
Yes! You can create a free account and get 150 free requests/month. Discover our
premium accounts if you need more.
-
How do I integrate Hunter into LinkedIn?
You can install our Chrome extension from the
Chrome Web Store. You can't use it on other browsers than Chrome.
-
Why did I get blocked on LinkedIn?
If many profiles are visited on LinkedIn in a short span of time, LinkedIn can block the access to certain pages or can even ban the account. However, the extension counts the number of profiles you visit and displays a warning when you are close to the limit to prevent you from having any issue with LinkedIn.
-
How does the extension find the email address on LinkedIn?
The extension uses the first name, last name, and company of the profile to find the email address in our database. The extension guesses the most likely email address using the email pattern used in the company (for example {first}.{last}@company.com) and returns a confidence score.

How many leads can I save from LinkedIn searches?
There is no limit to how many leads you can save. That being said, there is a limit:
- On the number of emails you can find, which is defined by the plan you have on Email Hunter.
- On the number of profiles you can save from LinkedIn per day. When you save a profile from LinkedIn the extension visits it to collect the data you need. LinkedIn limits the number of profiles you can visit every day, which limits the number of leads you can save. Depending on the feedback we had, this limit seems to be around 500 profiles a day.
-
Why do I get stuck on loading when trying to save leads from LinkedIn's search?
To save leads, the extension needs to visit the profiles in the background and collect the information. If it keeps displaying "Loading..." it probably means it couldn't load these pages.
This can happen is two cases:
- LinkedIn failed at returning the profiles. The risk increases if you try to save many profiles in one click. In this case, the workaround is simply to refresh the page and try again.
- LinkedIn blocks the access to profiles. This can happen if you tried to save many leads during the same day (there should be a warning displayed by the extension if you're close to the limit). To verify if this is the case, try to visit a profile.
