  • What is an API secret key?
    The API secret key is used to identify your account. You may be asked to provide one to connect to some of our services like the Google Sheets Add-on.
  • Can I get the email patterns in the Domain Search API call?
    Yes, the email pattern is one of the fields returned when you do a Domain Search through the API. See the reference.
  • Can I see my API usage?
    Yes! You can see this under API on your dashboard. You can also have a detail of the requests made in the history.
  • How do I get an API key?
    You can find them on your API page on your dashboard. You will find your API keys in the section "API secret keys". You can also create new API keys in this section if necessary. Make sure you always keep your keys secret!
  • What does it mean if "no user is found with the API key supplied"?
    This error message is related to an error with API key used to perform a specific request. In this case, the API key is not recognised and needs to be entered again. You can find your API key in the API section of your account.
  • Can I generate and use multiple API keys at the same time?
    Yes, you can use different API keys in Hunter at the same time.
  • Do you have a request p/second limit?
    Yes, we have 15 requests per second limit for Domain Search requests and 150 requests per second limit for all the other features in Hunter. In case you should go over those limits a 403 error will be triggered.
